The Association of Private Practicing Surveyors of Nigeria (APPSN), Abia State Chapter, is a professional body that unites licensed private practicing surveyors within the state, committed to excellence in surveying, mapping, and geospatial services. APPSN operates as a specialized subgroup focused on addressing the unique interests and challenges faced by private practitioners in the surveying profession. APPSN was formed to provide a platform for private practicing surveyors to collaborate, share knowledge, and contribute meaningfully to national development. The Abia State Chapter, in particular, serves as a focal point for surveyors within the state to engage in the professional advancement of their craft, uphold ethical standards, and foster innovation in geospatial technologies. The mission statement of APPSN Abia State Chapter is to promote professionalism, integrity, and excellence in surveying practice. The framework to execute this objective is by simply serving as a liaison between its members and government agencies, clients, and other stakeholders. The local chapter ensures that private surveyors in Abia State deliver services that meet global standards while adhering to local regulatory frameworks. This association in her efforts to digitize her operations, has created personal QR Codes for all her registered members to help with the proper identification of all registered members of the association dealing with the public. These QR Codes had given access to third party stakeholders to verify the identity of the practitioners rendering services to them by simply scanning these QR Codes. The body houses the registration numbers and the bio-data of these members in her database. This information is shared when these QR Codes are scanned.
